Long-Haul Sailing Regatta on Voëlvlei Dam

Hosted by Vogelvlei Yacht Club, Tour de Vlei is the Western Cape's only long-haul sailing regatta for dinghies, catamarans, multihulls and windsurfers.

Set on Voëlvlei Dam in the Cape Winelands District, the event attracts sailors from across the province for a unique weekend of long-distance sailing.

*Should wind and weather conditions not be conducive to holding the 2026 Tour de Vlei on Saturday 24 October, the intended programme will be posted on the Notice Board and run on Sunday 25 Oct.

A guideline of the programme is as follows (please refer to the NOR & SIs + Notice Board!):

09.00 – Skipper’s briefing
09.30 – Start not before 09h30
12.00 – No warning signal for racing after 12.00
