Tour de Vlei is the only dinghy longhaul regatta in the Western Cape Sailing Calendar.

SCHEDULE

• Registration: Saturday 14 October 2023 from 09h30 to13h30.
• Dates of racing:
  • Saturday 14 October 2023: Tour de Vlei. Skippers briefing at 13h30
  • Sunday 15 October 2023: Tour de Vlei, should wind and weather conditions are not conducive to holding the Tour de Vlei on Saturday 14 October 2023.
• The scheduled time of the warning signal for the Tour de Vlei on Saturday 14 October 2023, is 14h30
• The scheduled time for the warning signal of the Tour de Vlei sailed on Sunday 15 October, should it not be possible to sail it on Saturday 14 October, or any subsequent races on Sunday 15 October 2023 will be displayed on the regatta notice board. On Sunday 15 October, the skippers briefing will be at 09h00, with a start not before 09h30. There will be no warning signal for racing on Sunday 15 October after 12h00.
• Prizegiving will be held on Sunday 15 October at 10h00, should the Tour de Vlei be sailed on Saturday 14 October as planned.

PAYMENT AND ENTRY FEES

Please pay your entry and catering as follows:

• To qualify for a discount, emailed early bird entries to be received by 12h00 Friday 6 October along with the related EFT Proof-of-payment.
• Entry Fees are as follows:
  • Juniors (single handed): (Early bird R 100): R120
  • Juniors (double handed): (Early bird R 150): R175
  • Senior Single-handed: (Early bird R 175): R200
  • Senior Double-handed: (Early bird R 200): R250
  • Keelboats & double-handed Multihulls: (Early bird R 200): R250
• Entry Fees to be paid by close of Registration; i.e on Saturday 14 October 2023 before the skippers briefing. Payments by EFT to be completed by 17h00 on Wednesday 11 October 2023, and Proof of payment forwarded to accounts@vyc.co.za. Failure pay entry fees will result in the affected yacht being recorded as ‘Did Not Compete’ until such time as the required cash payment/s are made. This changes rule A11(DNC).
• Early Bird Junior single entries may convert to Double handed upon registration at the club by paying the difference.
• Overnight fees are payable by all non-sailing guests as follows: R50 per adult and R25 per child 12-19 years. Entry fees do cover Overnight Fees for participants.
